Leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin is once against valued at more than $10,000 following strong and consistent growth throughout 2019.
The value of one Bitcoin hovered around $4,000 at the start of the year, and remained in this region until rapid price growth began in April.
By June, it had hit a year high value of more than $13,000, and has now settled at around $10,000.
Bitcoin has a history of volatility, but it is showing signs of maturing.
As recently as 2017, it was valued at below $1,000, before soaring to the $20,000 mark that year.
As the cryptocurrency gains wider adoption, it is thought that its price will begin to stabilise.
